Your teeth will automatically darken with age, but other factors can also contribute to yellowing. Everyday uses like coffee, tea and soda may add to the yellowing effects .
Most dentist offices now offer teeth whitening to their patients, and you can purchase over-the-counter whitening kits at drug stores. But before you go that route, consider these natural ways to whiten your teeth:
Hydrogen Peroxide and Baking Soda Method – It’s great to note that hydrogen peroxide alone can be used as a mouthwash (daily) before you brush your teeth to whiten teeth naturally. *Do not swallow the solution. To increase the effectiveness, make a paste of peroxide and baking soda. Do this by pouring Pour 2 teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide into 3 teaspoons of baking soda. Mix these together until a paste forms. You may have to alter to your desire. (The paste should be similar in thickness to toothpaste.)
The Strawberry Method – Gather some strawberries and mash them up into a paste. Apply the paste to your teeth using a soft, clean toothbrush (or use your finger). Leave the paste on for 2-5 minutes. Wash it all off thoroughly, including the seeds. Brush. Repeat every night, before brushing your teeth. It will take 7-10 days to see a difference.
The Orange Peel Method – Rub the insides of an orange peel on your teeth for 2-3 minutes. Brush. Repeat every night, before brushing your teeth. It will take several days to see a difference.
