July is National Ice Cream month, and that, in itself, calls for a celebration! My children love ice cream just as much as I do, so when we were invited to visit Baskin Robbins to try our hand at a new dessert, they couldn’t wait for the day to come!
Close your eyes and imagine a cookie or brownie “crust” + your favorite ice cream + your choice of toppings. …Yes, that happened! The new Polar Pizza at Baskin Robbins is the best of both worlds, and might be deemed my children’s favorite item on the menu now.
With feature flavor combinations like OREO® Cookies ‘N Cream, Peanut Butter ‘n Chocolate and REESE’S® Peanut Butter Cup, Jamoca® Almond Fudge and HEATH®, you might need to think real hard on your selection! (Or order one of each, I won’t judge!) You can start from scratch and completely customize your polar pizza, too – the possibilities are endless!
After much thought, my children decided on a chocolate chip cookie “crust” with the ice cream flavor of the month (Oreo Birthday Cake) and a combination of M&M’s, gummy bears and chocolate drizzle as the toppings. Whoa! It was so good.
The Polar Pizza is cut into 8 slices, which can feed 4-8 people. I let my children each have two slices, because 1.) they made it and 2.) it’s summer! This would double as a great afternoon treat or small cake for celebrations.
And speaking of celebrations – I have a $50 gift card to Baskin Robbins to give away to one lucky reader!
