There is no question that my family loves all things Disney. From Mickey to the parks to the films, we have a nice collection of Disney souven”ears”. We take a trip to Disney World every 2 years and since we last went in November 2013, this is our year to go back!
There’s always question on avoiding crowds and bad weather at Disney, though I can say I hardly ever look at the weather when booking my trip! (We all know rain is a possibility every day in FL!) I am also up for taking my children out of school for a week. School work = family experience in my opinion! (If it makes any of you feel better, I do bring workbooks to work on on the road trip and we talk about the countries in Epcot! So it’s a learning experience, too.)
I have visited Disney World the week of Mardi Gras. I have visited the week of Easter. I have visited over Thanksgiving break and at points in between. My favorite time to visit? One or two weeks before Thanksgiving (after Halloween, before Thanksgiving! The parks will be decorated for Christmas and you will love not having to wait in line!)
Here’s a list of the best dates to visit Disney in 2015, listed in order from most expensive and most crowded to least expensive and low crowds:
- Premier Season (this is the most expensive and crowded time to visit the parks) March 29th to April 11th, Dec 24th-31st (lines will be long, you likely won’t find room discounts or free dining plan offers)
- Magic Season – Feb 16th-28th, March 1st-31st, April 12th – 30th, June 11th to August 15th, November 25th-27th
- Dream Season – Feb 1st-15th, May 1st to June 10th, August 16th-31st
- Choice Season – October 1st-31st, November 1st-24th, November 28th-30th, December 15th-23rd
- Adventure Season (this would be your best bet for discounts, low crowds and tons of fun!) Jan 1st-31st, September 1st-30th, December 1st-14th
