One of my favorite restaurants to visit is BJ’s Restaurants. The food, the service and the atmosphere are all to experienced. For me, BJ’s Restaurant has become an addiction. (Try the shoestring french fries, and you’ll agree!)
Earlier this week, we went on a family date night to BJ’s Restaurant – specifically because I had been told about the Party For Two! deal.
With the deal, you get:
– Choice of two soups or salads
– Any MEDIUM BJ’s Signature Pizza
– BJ’s Famous Pizookie dessert
….all for $19.95!
My husband and I both like soup and salad, so this is always a hard choice! We each decided on salads; a Caesar salad for him and a house salad for me. My children have always liked fresh salad, too, and the combination of lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes and carrot strips quickly found their way into other plates. (I am totally fine with sharing! Especially fruits and vegetables!) Notice the empty space on the bottom portion of the picture? That’s due to the three year old who couldn’t wait to eat the cucumbers!
I have been to BJ’s Restaurant a few times before, but never tried the deep dish pizza. It was interesting to see the available toppings, and to know I could add anything to the pizza! We were given the choice of 1/2 and 1/2, which worked even better! I chose several meats for one half, and let my son customize the other. His choice? Grilled shrimp and black olives. With cheese. This pizza was better than some restaurants known for their pizza – a perfectly baked crust with just the right amount of toppings! My son had no hard time keeping up, and his words after pizza? “That was yummy in my tummy!”
(My daughter took the picture below. Although not quite fully focused, it is a great shot worth sharing! Look at that pizza disappear!)
When we had devoured the pizza, the waitress asked if we were ready for dessert. A Pizookie. There were many options, and again, we were given the choice of 1/2 and 1/2….which we took advantage of. We ordered my two favorites: chocolate chunk and white chocolate macadamia nut.
If you are like me, you will not want to use the “extra” spoons or offer them to anyone. A Pizookie is nothing but goodness! Warm cookie, topped with two scoops of ice cream…. It really is as good as it sounds!
My son was eager to serve the plates, knowing how delicious dessert would be! It was a great meal, leaving us with full bellies and happy memories!
While I visited a local location in Hurst, TX, the Party for Two deal is available nationwide. For readers in the North Dallas area, you can visit BJ’s Restaurants in Mesquite, Dallas (Addison), Plano, Lewisville, Fort Worth, South Arlington and Hurst.
