I am sending this to all of you in Houma. A good friend’s Dad, Ricky Pellegrin, was diagnosed recently with TTP ( Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia Purpura), a blood disease that destroys the platelets in his body and requires 17 packets of platelets daily to correct. On top of that, Ricky was also diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, another cancer blood disease in the bone marrow which requires chemotherapy to put the cancer into remission and to eliminate the cancer cells. This will most likely require him to have blood transfusions to keep his blood counts elevated.
There will be a blood drive on February 1 at Spartan Industrial Products in Houma to help replace the blood and platelets he is requiring. The blood drive will be from 1:00 – 6:00 PM.
If you are free on February 1 and are able to donate blood, please complete the following form, letting us know know you are willing to help! It’s the little things we do that can make a huge difference. Get well soon, Mr. Ricky!
