You may have read about my new-found appreciation for CareNow urgent care clinics. They were there for me when my son came down with strep throat on a weekend, and they have been there for me several times since… including the time my oldest son broke his elbow.
Yep, my son came home from school complaining of sharp pains in his elbow. I let him brush it off for a few hours, but the swelling wouldn’t stop and his range of motion was getting shorter and shorter. Since CareNow is staffed by qualified and experienced healthcare providers and they accept our insurance, I knew a visit to CareNow would save me both time and money compared to a visit to the emergency room.
I used the Web Check-In to let the clinic know he needed to be seen, then waited for the office staff to call me with information. I verified that we could get x-rays at CareNow, then stood by my phone until the staff called back with an arrival time. I can’t stress how much this busy mom loves this feature. I have 4 children, multiple jobs, dinner and lots of chores that need to be complete. Being able to wait for a doctor at home versus having to wait in a waiting room is amazing.
A few months ago, I wouldn’t have thought to go to CareNow for x-rays. I loved to see that the clinic isn’t just there for illnesses. They offer flu shots, vaccinations, sports physicals, lab tests, vision and hearing screenings and more! (See all services offered at CareNow.)
