When I was a child, the classic game of Battleship was one of my favorites! “I sunk your battleship!” were words of summer fun!
On May 18th, Universal Pictures “Battleship” starring Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, Brooklyn Decker, Liam Neeson and recording superstar, Rihanna will be hitting theaters. But don’t let the live action end with the movie! Go head to head with a friend in Hasbro’s Battleship. Battleship is a timeless game for both young and old alike, but now with the premier of the Battleship motion picture from Universal Studios, Hasbro has decided to update this classic to fit the premise of the movie better.
There are three ways to play the game:
- Traditional — take turns calling your shots
- Salvo — stack up as many shots in one turn as you have ships afloat
- Special Ops (based on the movie) — Use the strategy cards for special powers such as Blitz, Scan, and Reveal as you plot to sink your enemy.
The fun doesn’t stop there, though. With the KRE-O Battleship Combat Chopper kids can take their mission even further. The above pictured building set features a fighter pilot and a KREON alien figure. Construct the helicopter vehicle, place the KREON fighter pilot inside the cockpit, push the lever to spin the rotor and launch missiles at incoming alien attacks….just like in the movie.
This building set includes 174 bricks, one KREON fighter pilot and one alien KREON figure with a twin turbine jetpack. The KRE-O Battleship Combat Chopper is designed for children ages 7 and up, and the bricks are compatible with other leading brands’ building blocks.
