My favorite time of the year has to be October through December. We get cold weather, hot chocolate, a warm fireplace and pumpkin flavored everything! What I don’t like about these fall months? Cold and flu season. …And I’m sure I’m not alone.
With 3 children and a busy family, I’m always making sure everyone keeps their fingers away from their face and cleans their hands whenever possible. Because of this, we usually stock up on cleaning essentials for cold and flu season preparation at our local Sam’s Club! I love that most Sam’s Club locations have a pharmacy inside, meaning you can get your flu vaccination and shop for those cold and flu items at the same time! (Did you know it’s best to receive your flu vaccine before the season peaks in January?)
This year, I put together a cold and flu season preparation kit for myself as well as one of the teachers at my son’s school. The kit was super easy to make and included just the right things to keep the germs away. And better yet, these items were convenient and easy to locate at Sam’s Club.
Another way to keep your family healthy is by staying informed. The Healthy Living Made Simple App by Sam’s Club offers informational health and wellness articles and tips for beating flu season! (The free app is available on iPhones and iPads.) I downloaded it and loved reading the articles in the online magazine! I learned a few new things about staying well and a reminder to pick up some fruits to keep my children’s immune system up! I’m glad Sam’s Club always offers fresh produce – my children love oranges!
Find out more information about Sam’s Club and check to see if your local warehouse has a pharmacy inside! You can also read the latest issue of Healthy Living Made Simple, which is available on the app and online! Whichever way you choose to read it, make sure you check out the Flu Vaccine article which answered a bunch of flu questions I was curious about!
