My husband and I have been married for over 10 years. We aim to go out for quarterly date nights, but even so, with no family in the area, it’s hard to get out. So we decide to get creative and have more regular date night’s at home.
When we have date nights at home, there’s no need for a babysitter or reservations at a restaurant. They are fun and you can make them as simple or creative as you want!
We have had several themed date nights. Take a look at a few from our list:
- Movie Night
- Dessert Night
- Game Night
- Take Out by Candlelight
They are so fun and we look forward to seeing what we’ll come up with next. In fact, last weekend, we put the kids to bed and had a themed date night: Yours and Mine.
I made a date night basket containing all the things we may or may not need for the evening: candles, bubble bath, loofahs, wine, wine glasses and KY Yours and Mine (it was only fitting, right?)
It was fun to shop for these items and customize the basket to work for us. You could even add a movie or “yours and mine” candy to the basket, too! To bring the theme in further, I etched “yours” and “mine” on each of the wine glasses, but if etching stresses you out, just add a nice tag to the stem. Make this exciting!
Start planning your January basket now, but let me tell you about this special deal: In January, there will be a special Date Night Deal in Yours and Mine packages! The deal will include 1 free meal for 2 from Peachdish.com (delivered to your door) and a $5 VUDU movie credit! The deal is a $50 value and comes with the product!
I picked up products for this date night basket at Walmart, but if you’re not too keen on going to the store to purchase the Yours and Mine, make sure you take a look at Walmart.com for discreet purchasing!
