Celebrate Freedom Weekend
The Dallas Zoo salutes the armed forces with FREE admission on July 2-4. Start the holiday weekend celebration with a special “Welcome Home” presentation sponsored by the Veteran’s Administration. On Saturday, July 2 at 11 a.m., there will be a presentation of colors by the Korean War Veterans Association, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, the national anthem, and presentations by civic and VA leaders. Free admission for active and retired U.S. military personnel and three family members. (Children 2 and younger are free.) Parking is $7. Valid ID required.
Dollar Day presented by MetroPS
On July 21, the Dallas Zoo shows its appreciation to the community for its support with $1 admission all day and Dollar Deals in select locations. Look for $1 hot dogs, chips, canned drinks, and other snacks on Cat Green. Avoid the traffic and parking fees and take the DART Red Line to the Zoo entrance. 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
