Spring and Easter are almost here! As I go through my children’s toy box, I look at the games they play and question why I didn’t stick to my nails with “only” buying them educational toys! While some items I come across are okay, some are just plain silly and a complete waste of money. I need durable and educational… which is what I find in the Ravensburger and Brio toys.
The Brio Wobbler has soft shapes with intriguing functionality. It’s a great starter toy for babies 6 months and up.
The Brio High Chair Toy is sure to get all the attention from your child’s highchair! When the wheel is pushed it makes a sound, and the colourful and fun BRIO icons spin. It’s an educational, yet fun toy that your 6 month old will love!
For our next family game night, I looked into the Buggaloop from Ravensburger, because it sounds incredibly fun: Players take turns rolling the die and moving their bugs peacefully across the yard, until the HEXBUG emerges from the tunnel and tries to bump them off. The first player to transport all of their bugs to safety wins this surprising buggy scramble!
I thought my son would enjoy the Smartscope, too, since he has a love for all-things-Science! You can use your smart phone or tablet to explore the amazing world of microscopics! Magnify your own finds, including water, sand, feathers, leaves, insects, and more, or study the objects on the included poster and follow along in the manual for fun facts about each. With a removable light source and sliding object tray with two levels of magnification, we can scope out all kinds of objects in great detail. I know he will love this, and we’ll have to collect some interesting things to look at from our nature walk next month!
