Today was a much anticipated day for me… I even drew a shiny swimming fish as a reminder on my calendar. Ellen DeGeneres had been talking about this day all week, and though I watch her show daily, I wasn’t going to miss this one; she was introducing the Finding Dory trailer!
About 13 years ago, I started watching The Ellen Show every day. I would sit down to do my college homework, watching more tv than studying, I’m sure… knowing Ellen would get me through the hard days with her dancing and funny stories. And she did.
Everyone loves Ellen just as much as they adore the character (Dory) she played in Finding Nemo. I remember the first time she brought up the idea of a “Finding Nemo 2”. The audience, and myself, got really excited. So when it was announced that Finding Dory would be released in 2016, you bet your bottom I was in awe!
The adorable and funny Dory is back, along with other friends from the sea! You won’t want to miss this one – mark your calendars for June 17, 2016.
Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Dory” reunites everyone’s favorite forgetful blue tang, Dory, with her friends Nemo and Marlin on a search for answers about her past. What can she remember? Who are her parents? And where did she learn to speak Whale? Directed by Andrew Stanton (“Finding Nemo,” “WALL•E”) and produced by Lindsey Collins (co-producer “WALL•E”), the film features the voices of Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks, Ed O’Neill, Kaitlin Olson, Ty Burrell, Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton. “Finding Dory” swims into theaters June 17, 2016.
