A few weeks ago, I was invited to a Summer shop-a-thon at the Grand Prairie Premium Outlets in Grand Prairie, TX. When I mentioned a “Mommy shopping day” to my daughter, she was ecstatic! She and I are both huge shoppers! (Dad better watch out!)
We pulled up to the Grand Prairie Premium Outlets, and I couldn’t believe all the stores listed on the signs outside! I was glad there were so many parking spaces, because I couldn’t wait to see what was in store for us!
We made our way to the Information desk, where I was presented with a mall gift card and goodie bag! Inside the bag were coupons to some of my favorite stores! (And yes, that is a coupon for a FREE Lindor Truffle….yum!)
It didn’t take long for my daughter and I to find the food court, which is a large open area with several restaurants to choose from. The food court is very clean, and I discovered there is free Wi-Fi while you are dining! (Sweet!)
After lunch, we headed to one of my favorite stores, The Children’s Place. Though we have a Children’s Place close to our house, this was an outlet store so the prices were even cheaper! You can’t beat $2.99 for cute t-shirts! I like the fact that The Children’s Place offers sizes for each of my three children.
We left The Children’s Place to visit other stores like Crazy 8, Under Armor, Nike, Juicy Couture, Yankee Candle and Auntie Anne’s.
Our last stop was at Bloomingdale’s, who had generously provided me with a $25 gift card specifically to their store. Since the entire store was 15% off, I couldn’t wait to check out the shoes! My daughter and I tried on both casual and dressy shoes, and I think she fell in love with the 4″ glitter heels. She knows fashion when she see’s it!
She also knows chocolate.
Not only were we each given a free Lindor truffle to enjoy while we shopped, we were also spoiled with a gift bag of Godiva chocolates for
“dessert”. I could eat each of the Caramel Au Chocolat Au Lait. (Each. Of. Them.) They are that good!
In all, we had a fantastic Mom and daughter day. Some of the lines in the stores were longer than normal, but when you find a good deal, everyone wants to take advantage – and I can’t blame them! With more than 110 outlet stores to choose from, you are bound to find some great sales! And we surely found some! I bought two pairs of boots, an outfit for myself, clothes for my children, candles and lunch for about $125.
The Grand Prairie Premium Outlets are located off of I-20, in Grand Prairie. They are open Mon – Sat: 10am-9pm, Sun: 11am-6pm. (Holiday schedules may vary.)
Disclosure: I was provided with a gift card to shop the Grand Prairie Premium Outlets in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
That’s awesome! I haven’t been there yet, but I’m excited to go. I didn’t know they had a Crazy 8 there – they have cute stuff for my little guys.
What a fun little mommy daughter day!!
I can’t wait to visit…..I’ll be going soon! I’ve got my eye on a few shops!
I love GP outlets because they are only a few miles from the house. And I can walk right up to my favorite store without going to Hillsboro or Allen! Just need a Ralph Lauren store and I’ll be content!
This is so close to my house it is dangerous!
I’ve never been to the Grand Prairie outlets! But it looks like they have all of my favorite stores, so maybe I need to go!
Also looks like you guys had a great time!
