It’s so hard finding jeans that fit my daughter. She’s tall and a “Skinny Minnie”. In jeans, she needs a size 3 or 4T for the waist and can use a size 6 for the length. With that said, they just don’t make “custom jeans”. (Or at least not in my price range.)
The solution: belts. I can get by with size 5 jeans, if she wears a belt. The problem with belts, though, is the buckle. Most 5 year olds do not have the coordination to un-buckle a tricky belt buckle. (*True story. I was a Pre-K teacher. I know this to be true for about 90% of 5 year olds.)
Another solution: HeroHuggers.
HeroHuggers offers belts for kids, and in a variety of colors and patterns. The belts come in three sizes, so you are sure to find one right for your child. And the best part? There are two options for closure: velcro or D-ring.
My daughter chose the Crazy Daisy Kids Belt, with the velcro closure. It fits perfect, and is so easy for her to get on and off!
