All you need is a lawn chair or blanket, and maybe some sunscreen, and you are set for the City’s Friday night Hot Sounds of Summer concert series in Burleson’s Old Town.
The FREE five-concert series kicks off Memorial Day weekend, May 27, with Eleven Hundred Springs. The 90-minute concerts start at 7:30 p.m. on the City stage at the corner of Ellison and Wilson streets (124 W. Ellison St.). The crowds fill Ellison Street and the sidewalks back to Main Street.
The Hot Sounds schedule includes Eleven Hundred Springs on May 27; Incognito on June 3; Josh Weathers & the True Endeavors on June 10; the Spazmatics on June 17; and Shoot Low Sheriff to close out the series on June 24.
Eleven Hundred Springs is western swing, country and rock. They played at the Fourth of July celebration at Hidden Creek Sports Complex in 2010. Incognito is alternative and classic rock. Josh Weathers is “rock-n-soul.” The Spazmatics, a new wave ‘80s band, are also a return act from 2010. And, Shoot Low Sheriff is western swing with an edge.
