In 2004, a film titled “The Incredibles” hit theaters. It ended up being a smash hit that I now watch occasionally with my children, along with other Disney Pixar films they have grown to love. Fast forward 14 years from “The Incredibles” film debut, and we are finally getting to continue the story with a sequel, “Incredibles 2”. …And if I weren’t excited enough about the sequel, Disney has made the month of June even more exciting for me, because I have been invited to Los Angeles to interview the cast from the film and celebrate so much more that Disney has to offer! (Keep reading for all the details!)
During our time in Los Angeles, we will be interviewing Craig T. Nelson (voice of “Bob Parr / Mr. Incredible”), Holly Hunter (“Helen Parr / Elastigirl”), Samuel L. Jackson (voice of “Lucius Best / Frozone”), Sophia Bush (voice of “Voyd”), Sarah Vowell (voice of “Violet Parr”), Huck Milner (voice of “Dash Parr””), Bob Odenkirk (voice of “Winston Deavor”) & Catherine Keener (“Evelyn Deavor”) from Incredibles 2! We will also interview Director Domee Shi & Producer Becky Neiman of the new Pixar short Bao!
We will also spend a day at Disneyland for Pixar Fest and get a preview of Big City Greens, a new animated series comedy coming to the Disney Channel June 18.
You guys know how much I love Disney. When I found out we were going to spend the day at Disneyland, specifically to check out Pixar Fest, I think my heart almost popped out of my chest! Pixar Fest has been claimed to be the biggest Pixar celebration ever to come to the Disney Parks, and I can’t wait to share the experience! While there, we will see what’s new in the “Pixar Play Parade,” experience “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular,” taste Pixar-inspired eats and treats and so much more! (We’re going to close down the park that night, y’all!)
Incredibles 2 – In Theaters June 15
Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life.
It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.
Big City Greens – Premiering On The Disney Channel June 18
Disney Channel’s new animated comedy series “Big City Greens” follows the offbeat adventures of 10-year-old Cricket Green, a mischievous and optimistic country boy who moves to the big city with his wildly out of place family – older sister Tilly, dad Bill and Gramma Alice. Cricket’s curiosity and enthusiasm leads his family on epic journeys and into the hearts of his new neighbors.
After the screening, we will have the chance to talk with the series creators, brothers Chris and Shane Houghton (“Harvey Beaks”), who also serve as executive producers alongside Emmy Award-winning Rob Renzetti (“Gravity Falls”).
