Summer is the perfect time for doing two things: spending time with family and grilling hamburgers! And I’m so lucky that my husband loves to do both!
This Summer, just in time for the 4th of July holiday, Hellmann’s is staging a #Burgervention challenge – encouraging chefs across America to put an end to the dry, plain and ordinary burger!
In TX, we use Hellmann’s for so many things, including adding it as a dressing to hamburgers. Until recently, I have never thought about adding the mayonnaise right into the (raw) ground beef, to lock in flavors and add moisture, ensuring a juicy, delicious burger every time. It’s a genius idea, so I did it. And I added a few extra “kicks”, changing up this recipe to make the one below… one of the juiciest burgers you’ve ever tried.
Incorporating Fiesta Ranch Dressing Mix, mayonnaise and a packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix into the ground beef, this turned out to be one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten! (And I eat a lot of burgers!) The burger was perfect for our cook-out and paired great with potato chips. I liked the option for great ingredients in my burger, like the Hellmann’s, which is committed to cage free eggs, quality oils and vinegar.
With only a few simple steps, you can make this burger, too! And, since we received a FREE packet of Lipton’s Onion Soup Mix with our purchase of Hellmann’s, that was one less ingredient we had to purchase! (Make sure you look for the BONUS packages at your local supermarket!)
2 pounds (80/20) ground beef
1/2 cup Hellmann’s real mayonnaise
3 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 packet Fiesta Ranch Dressing Mix
1/2 – 1 packet Lipton’s Onion Soup Mix (depending on your preference)
In a large bowl, combine the Fiesta Ranch Dressing Mix, the Lipton’s Onion Soup Mix, the Hellmann’s Mayonnaise and the Worcestershier sauce. When this is well mixed, add the ground beef, mixing to incorporate. Shape into patties (should make 6-7 patties, depending on size.)
Grill the burgers until done to your preference.
Assemble the burger by adding real mayonnaise to the bun of your choice. Top with your desired toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, pickles, guacamole, grilled onions, etc.) Serve with potato chips or french fries.
