Festival provides free eye exams and glasses to children ages 5 to 12 who qualify, plus free vision screenings, educational activities, entertainment, games, giveaways and more!

In an effort to eliminate poor vision and its lifelong consequences, The Alcon Foundation, Essilor Vision Foundation and the Kids Vision for Life – Tarrant County Coalition will host Kids Vision Fest 2013 on Friday, February 1, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., at Tarrant County College Trinity River Campus located at 300 Trinity Campus Circle (formerly 300 RadioShack Circle) in Fort Worth. Free and open to the public, the event will offer free vision screenings to all children. However, free eye exams and glasses will be provided ONLY to children ages 5 – 12 who qualify based on the 2012 Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Also, Tarrant County leaders will gather at 10 a.m. in Energy Auditorium for a roundtable forum to discuss children’s vision care and its long-term impact on education, society and economy.
IMPORTANT: Students who bring vision referrals from school nurses will be given priority on a first-come, first-served basis. Organizations bringing groups of children are strongly encouraged to schedule appointments. Organizations that book in advance will be scheduled beginning at 9 a.m. before the doors open to the public.
