A few friends and I went out to Lost Oak Winery in Burleson, TX for their annual Harvest Fest. While we knew what to expect, we didn’t know what to expect. We knew one thing – it was sure to be lots of fun for each of us!
When we arrived, we were given an empty bucket and a pair of pruning shears, then told to pick grapes in the vineyard located nearby.
When we were done with the picking, it was time to begin stomping!
You begin by dumping your grapes into a barrel….then you get in!
There were lots of laughs, and plenty purple-stained feet! If you are thinking about Lucy and Ethel on “I Love Lucy” then you are spot on. This is definitely an experience, and something everyone should have on their bucket list! Especially since you get to place your footprints on a commemorative Harvest Fest bag as you are stepping out of the barrel!
Since I know how much fun this event is, I will definitely be taking my children to the Harvest Fest next year!
Admission to the Harvest Fest is free, tickets to participate in the stomp are $10 (includes a bag). I suggest getting your tickets early, as this years’ event completely sold out!

I’ve always wanted to do a grape stomp, it looks like so much fun!
