I’m from Louisiana where at least 90% of the residents drink Community Coffee. I grew up knowing there was only one brand of coffee because it’s what everyone drank. You would find Community Coffee in homes, the bank lobby, gas stations, hotels and of course, in grandma’s kitchen.
When we moved to Texas, I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to find Community Coffee in the stores… but I was wrong. On my first visit to HEB, we easily spotted the display of red coffee bags, and I’m happy to share a cup with anyone who visits my home. (See below for a coffee coupon to use at your local HEB.)
Did you know Community Coffee was named because of “Cap” Saurage’s appreciation for his community of friends and his customers? It’s true. And you can find appreciation in every step of the coffee’s journey.
We adhere to the uncompromising standards of the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) to deliver the best cup to our customers. As good as that sounds, we insist that there be a clear and honest way for us to judge ourselves, and a clear and honest way for our customers to judge us.
We begin with the best coffee beans. For our premium coffee, we use the world’s highest quality specialty grade Arabica coffee beans.
And that’s just the first stage in an incredible lifecycle that won’t be complete until you’re brewing and enjoying the perfect cup of coffee.
I love completing the lifecycle at home. I truly believe the way to start your morning is with a nice warm cup of coffee — especially in the winter. In the summer, however, I look forward to my coffee each morning, but prefer it ice cold or as a frappuccino. (100 degree temperatures in Texas… who can blame me?)
Since my husband and I live a low-carb lifestyle, I had to make adaptations to one of my favorite frozen drinks… and it’s so good, you wouldn’t even know it’s low-carb!
