Last week, I told you about The Marvel Experience, currently in Dallas, TX. My family was invited to attend over the opening weekend, and we had a “super” time! My daughter enjoyed this as much as my boys, which ended up being a day of excitement for the entire family! (Who doesn’t want to train to be a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent?)
We walked beyond the gates of The Marvel Experience and were handed wrist bands before being directed to the recruit sign-up area for badge registration and photo taking. Once you are done with the registration, you proceed to the the training area for orientation, followed by several recruit activities. Some of our favorites: getting an up-close look at Captain America’s shield, climbing a wall with Spider-man and summoning a superhero to stand next to you.
We navigated through each of the domes, when we found ourselves in the 360-degree 3D stereoscopic theater then the final ride, which is a 4D experience of air, music and amazing chair movement. (There is an option to sit in front, in the non-moveable rows.)
My family visited on Saturday and it was quite busy. I am pretty sure we stayed inside the domes for almost 4 hours, but everyone was in a happy place, so it was worth it! My children talked about the event on the hour ride home and talked about it more then next day! (It’s not everyday you get to take a selfie with Spider-man, you know!) If you go, I recommend getting there early to avoid long lines!
The Marvel Experience is in Dallas through February 1. Click here for information on prices and times.
