My family likes loves eating out. I don’t have to cook and I still end up with a clean kitchen. It’s a win-win. With that said, I don’t like to spend a whole bunch of money at a restaurant either. With that said, we often chain restaurants that we know are going to be yummy!
My husband and I were recently invited to MiMi’s Cafe to check out the Mimi’s Cafe menu revamp. Two words: delish and impressive!
Mimi’s new menu definitely brings you to a French Bistro. The new menu is perfect with dishes created for everyone. The appetizers and soups were fantastic. The salad was, too. I have never eaten a mussel, and would have never thought I would. Until everything else was so fantastic that I couldn’t say “no”. (It was good.) The chef brought out dishes that I could have eaten every day for the rest of my life. Seriously.
The president of the company and corporate chef graced us with their presence and I felt like I had known these two people forever. They were that genuine. (The president and I shared a plate – one of the many brought out for us. Who does that?)
I ordered the Coq au Vin, which was cooked to perfection. Imagine a chicken, braised in red wine, mushrooms and pearl onions, served on top of mashed potatoes surrounded by petite pois (peas). Yeah.
My husband had the Bistro Bavette Steak with mushroom-infused au gratin potatoes and bordelaise sauce with garden fresh sauteed vegetables. It was cooked to perfection! (The potatoes were so tasty!)
We were also presented with other tasty dishes: Le Burger de Madame, Pasta Carbonara a la Mimi’s, the 1129 Nouveau … Each and every dish was unique and truly a treat.
If you have never been to Mimi’s Cafe, what are you waiting for? If you haven’t been there for a while, get there soon! I can personally promise you won’t be disappointed. And, we were assured that if any dish doesn’t come out just as you had hoped, the chefs will make it right.
This looks so delicious. I have to say, I haven’t been to Mimi’s in a while, but I think we’ll stop by tomorrow!
