This weekend, my family took a trip to Casa Manana in Fort Worth to see one of our favorite children’s books on stage: Pinkalicious The Musical.
Pinkalicious is a fun and fast paced performance that is great for children! (Especially little girls!) If you have a daughter, grand daughter, niece or friend who loves the color pink and/or cupcakes, this is a show not to miss!
Through the story, we find that Pinkalicious eats too many pink cupcakes and wakes up with Pinkitis! After a trip to the doctor, she is told to eat her green foods before the Pinkitis gets worse! Thankfully, Pinkalicious has a great brother (Peter) to help her fix the “illness”. Ticket holders are provided with a great lesson of moderation and self-control.
My 7 year old daughter, who reads Pinkalicious books often, loved the production. My 4 year old son, watched intently, but claimed it was “too girly”. Nevertheless, make sure you let your daughter choose her favorite pink clothes before heading out to the show! Pink fairies and crowns were very common among the audience!
Pinkalicious The Musical will leave your family (or at least the girls) with a smile and craving for pink cupcakes!
