Last week, I was invited to visit the Happiest Place on Earth, right in the heart of California. Having been to Disneyland just a few years ago (for the Tomorrowland event), I was excited to have my second visit to Disneyland — not only for the characters, the attractions and the delicious snacks, but to experience Pixar Fest, too!
When you’re told you will be in Disneyland for 10 hours, you get excited. When you’re told you’ll have a Cast Member guide you through the park and serve as your “fast pass” all afternoon, you get extra excited!
We went on some of my favorite rides: Radiator Springs in Cars Land, Toy Story Midway Mania, Indiana Jones, It’s A Small World, and Mission Outbreak, which I was hesitant of at first, but it is totally my favorite now!
All About Pixar Fest at Disneyland
Pixar Fest is the biggest Pixar celebration ever to come to Disney Parks, and it’s worth seeing. Pixar Fest presents beloved stories from Pixar Animation Studios in new ways at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Parks.

During this limited-time celebration, guests will celebrate friendship and beyond with characters and experiences from films such as “Toy Story,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “Coco” and “Up”. …And we just happened to run into some of our friends from Toy Story while there!
But trust me when I say it gets better… you won’t want to miss three things: the parade, the food and the fireworks!
“Pixar Play Parade” returns to the Disneyland Park for the limited-time Pixar Fest celebration. The delightful parade brings even more fan-favorite Pixar stories to life with the addition of three new story elements. The parade now begins just as all Pixar films have, with an appearance from the iconic Pixar Lamp and Ball from the original Pixar short, “Luxo Jr.” (Rob Sparacio/Disneyland Resort)
My favorite, favorite part about Pixar Fest? The food! Did you see these pictures I posted on instagram? It kind of makes me want to eat my computer screen!
That green monster is a rice krispie treat, and my favorite of all the Pixar Food snacks! (Make sure you scroll through the pictures to see all of them!)
A great way to end the night? With “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” of course! Celebrate Pixar stories through the decades as it lights up the sky over Disneyland Park. Along with dazzling pyrotechnics and memorable music, a heartwarming story celebrates the theme of friendship, an ever-present concept in Pixar animation, connecting guests with characters they’ve come to know and love. “Together Forever” comes to life through projections on iconic park locations: Sleeping Beauty Castle, the water screens of the Rivers of America, the façade of “it’s a small world” and the buildings of Main Street, U.S.A.
I loved seeing the Incredibles family projected on the castle as we watched fireworks light up the sky. And I loved seeing them back on the big screen, too!
Incredibles 2 In Theaters June 15
Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life.
It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.
“Incredibles 2” opens in U.S. theaters on June 15, 2018.
