As I get ready to travel to Florida for a fun vacation, I sit back to think about the things I need to get done before I leave. There are so many things on my to-do list, though I pick and choose the ones that are “easier” to scratch through and hesitate to accomplish the ones I want to put off:
Packing – I have a list, but what if I’m missing something on the list? Do you go with a list or just “wing it”? I am a worry wart, making sure I have everything. My husband, on the other hand, likes to think there are stores near the hotel, and we can make a trip, if it’s necessary. (Who has time for that?)
Clean the house – I don’t want to knock this off the list, because I hate cleaning. Seriously. But I don’t want to come home to a “dirty” house to have to clean either. Maybe the cleaning fairy will make her way inside while I’m gone.
Car tune-up – This one’s an easy task. I’m sending my husband to do it for me. There are so many things I can get done in the two hours it takes for a 15 minute oil change. That’s a man’s job anyway. Right?
Blogging – Obviously, you see what I’m putting off right now… the three things you see on my to-do list. I leave in two days, and can think of one million things I’d rather be doing until then!
Do you put off things you know have to be done? What is your priority when packing for a trip?
