One of my go-to products, since my children were babies, is Dr. Smith’s Diaper Rash Ointment. We’ve been using this ointment for so long, I can remember when I had to ask for the product at the pharmacy counter because it wasn’t on the shelves. Now, it’s readily available right on the shelves, usually near the baby diapering supplies.
Dr. Smith’s was developed in 1963 by Dr. Forrest M. Smith, Jr., a San Antonio pediatrician. Its effectiveness has earned it the recommendation of pediatricians and pharmacists everywhere. Dr. Smith’s is now part of the Mission Pharmacal family of products.
Even though my children are older, I still run for Dr. Smith’s when they get mosquito bites, rashes or minor scrapes. It’s always reassuring to know I can put the ointment on at night and when my child wakes up, the rash or bite is drastically better, if not completely gone!
Dr. Smith’s can be found at over 100,000 locations, including stores like Walgreens, Walmart, H-E-B, Target and Kroger. It can also be purchased online through Amazon.
Last October, I had the chance to attend the product launch party in Dallas, where I met the Dr. Smith’s family and shared my love for the product. The brand is fantastic all around!
