There’s one thing I usually remember I’ve forgotten once when we’re about ten minutes into our road trip: a good playlist. I always mean to make one, it’s just that after packing up a family of 6, making sure the house is semi-clean and gathering the odds and ends, I’m too exhausted to look up fun tunes. Let’s keep it real. I need a go-to list that I can use as reference, then I can download from there.
Today, with no road trip currently planned, I sat down to make that list. Below, you’ll find 10 of the not-so-current, but not-so-old hits that no one will get tired of after the first play. Just jump to your list when there’s nothing good on the radio, and you’re bound to have everyone in the car singing along!
Road Trip Playlist
“Mustang Sally” by Wilson Pickett
“Firework” by Katy Perry
“Take It Easy” by The Eagles
“Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars
“Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen
“Life is a Highway” by Tom Cochrane
“Low Rider” by War
“One Headlight” by The Wallflowers
“Love Shack” by The B-52’s
“Home” Philip-Philips
Now, roll down the windows, turn up the car radio and drive safely to your destination. And speaking of destinations, before you head that way, make sure your car is tuned up, you have your road trip apps downloaded and you’ve packed a few road trip snacks!
If you are looking for a new or used vehicle before your road trip this summer, look no further than your local dealership. If you are in the market for a Jeep and live in Georgia, make sure you check out JeepCheap.com
Great music taste! Not having music for the car ride can completely ruin the trip for me. It’s definitely something that gets forgotten in all the planning, but makes a huge difference for everyone’s fun.
