This week, my son was sick with strep. I needed snacks that were gentle on his throat, in order to keep him comfortable. Since I was offered the opportunity to try Organic Slammers SuperFood Snack by Kids Gourmet, it was the first product I reached for.
Designed as “fuel” in organic snack form, Slammers is a fun super-food line made with active kids in mind. But I soon found these organic snacks to be for the non-active (A.K.A. sick kids), too!
With four great flavors, labeled with names like Epic, Awesome, Chill’n and Pumped, these pouches are sure to give anyone an extra boost of energy, making you soon feel great and back on your feet!
EPIC – mangoes, bananas, oranges, carrots, Greek yogurt & real vanilla
AWESOME – bananas, blueberries, strawberries, beets, acai, amaranth (grains)
CHILL’N – bananas, blueberries, butternut squash, Greek yogurt & yumberry
PUMPED – bananas, pineapple, mango, grains, butternut squash, cinnamon
My son tried the EPIC flavor and kept giving it the “thumbs up” saying it was “very good” – he also asked if he could try another one! I promised we would have more later, but soon gave in to a second serving! After two days of not eating, I was so excited to see him gaining some nutrition… maybe I should have let him try one of each!
As our kids grew up, they were asking for fun and yummy treats to throw in their backpacks. We created these awesomely delicious on-the-go snacks, with super-healthy organic ingredients, designed to energize for every activity. Slammers is for all the busy parents and active kids with great taste in food!
Thankfully we are well now, though we still grab Slammers first! Whether we are packing lunch boxes, an afternoon snack or choosing a healthy dessert after dinner, I know there is a flavor each of my children will enjoy. Plus, with summer around the corner, Slammers will be easy to throw in our bags to take to the park and the beach!
Slammers are sold exclusively in the U.S., available at Tom Thumb, Target and HEB stores.
Love the packaging! Can these be for grownups, too? 😉

I’ve never even heard of these! I’ve tried everything to get my oldest to eat veggies and fruit…maybe this is the trick! Definitely keeping my eye out for them.
