As a work-at-home Mom, sometimes there are little ways to escape from the day’s frustrations. From laundry to dishes to work to my beautiful children, there is always something to be done and seldom time for a break. …and that’s not even factoring in other duties like homework or dinner! And when we don’t have dinner, everyone knows I am certainly not myself when I’m hungry.
My husband is a great helper, but I am first to admit that I can go from Mary Poppins to the Incredible Hulk in 0.5 seconds when the day just isn’t going my way. And it’s those times that I feel the need to find the right “S” for the moment, and recompose to stay calm. How do I do it? Shopping. Silence. Sleep. SNICKERS®.
Shopping – I am a believer in retail therapy. Who isn’t? I love the calmness of walking the aisles of a store, even if I have no intent to purchase a thing.
Silence – I also love the silence that allows your body to recompose. Whether it’s locking myself in a closet for two minutes, sitting in my car with the doors locked or escaping to the local coffee shop, silence really is golden.
Sleep – This speaks for itself! I would give anything for a good nap!
SNICKERS® – FOR REAL, friends! Chocolate comes in many forms, but nothing as good as a Snickers candy bar! I usually feel better with just one bite, but give me the entire bar and my world turns upside down! Lucky for me, my local Kroger has a great assortment of SNICKERS, right there at the check-out!
