As a busy mom with four children, it feels like I’m always transporting one child here and another child there. Mix this in with weekly errands, and 1/4 of my day is in a vehicle. While I don’t mind the driving, it’s a little more fun when you’re given the opportunity to drive the 2017 Toyota Highlander Hybrid!

I absolutely fell in love with the Toyota Highlander. It has three-rows and capable of multiple interior seat configurations, with seating for up to eight passengers. This vehicle was perfect for my family of 6.

The Highlander’s V-6 features direct injection, an eight-speed auto, and a choice between front- and all-wheel-drive configurations. This hybrid was great on gas mileage, getting an average of 29 miles in the city and 27 miles on the highway. In fact, I drove all week on one tank, and could have driven more without having to fill up!

Inside the Highlander, you’ll find an abundance of storage solutions, including an in-dash shelf to stow smartphones, coins, and other small items. You’ll find a great entertainment system and an 8″ display with backup camera. As a digital family, we appreciated the numerous USB ports and 12V outlets, too!
The 2017 Toyota Highlander received a five-star overall rating from NHTSA. The Highlander earned top marks in the side collision test, while receiving four stars in frontal and rollover categories. I appreciated the LATCH system for our car seat. The seat was easy to install and remove, making things a little easier on Mom as we made memories with each drive!
