I was shocked to hear that 1 in 7 children in the U.S. lives with hunger.  That’s a harsh number.

I spend a lot of time in schools, and will never forget the time a child told me his mom didn’t have money to pack him a lunch.  Not only is that heartbreaking, it’s something most people don’t even think is a possibility.  No child should have to worry about where his next meal will come from.

Beech-Nut is partnering with No Kid Hungry to provide a warm meal to a child in need through before and after school food programs. And there’s an easy way for you to help!

On November 3rd, you can join me and Beech-Nut for a free family friendly event at the Perot Museum’s Hoglund Foundation Theater. Families will enjoy a FREE screening of Superpower Dogs and learn more about food insecurity and how every dollar donated to No Kid Hungry helps hungry children across the Unites States.

Beech-Nut will also be collecting donations at the event – every $5 donated can help provide up to 50 meals for a child who is facing hunger.  Beech-Nut has a nationwide goal of providing 1 million meals to kids in need. For every dollar that Beech-Nut donates, No Kid Hungry will provide a warm meal to a child in need, but they need your help.

Seating is limited for this FREE event so make sure you reserve your spot NOW!
