bonefish grill reviewMy family spent the weekend in Grapevine, TX, where we decided to visit Bonefish Grill in Southlake for dinner.  Being none of us had been to a Bonefish Grill before, it was exciting to try something new for the afternoon. 

From the moment we first walked in, I was taken back from the casual, yet upscale atmosphere.  I liked it.  Since we had made reservations, my family was seated immediately.  I liked that, too!

We ordered our drinks and the server offered to bring out bread and pesto.  It really set the bar for the meals that we ordered.  The pesto was a great compliment to the olive oil, both paired with the perfect pre-sliced bread.

I opted to order Lily’s Chicken, which was a dish of chicken breast, goat cheese, sauteed spinach, artichoke hearts and a lemon basil sauce.  Just repeating those words together in one sentence makes my mouth water.

My husband ordered the 1/2 pound Kobe Beef Burger, which was straight from Kay Ranch, TX.  This burger is served on a toasted brioche bun, fully dressed, with cheese!  It was served with house-made chips, which were perfectly crisp! 

Our meals arrived… then. it. happened.  I took a look at my husband’s burger, which I could tell was grilled to perfection, and asked him to switch plates with me!  Who does that?  Then, my husband, being the great person he is… AGREED!  (Who does that?) I didn’t hand it over that easily, though.  I did take a bite of Lily’s Chicken first!  Both dishes were very unique and full of flavor!  Next time we visit, I think I’ll have to try the Bang Bang Shrimp!  I kept watching this appetizer pass by our table, and each time, I said “we should have ordered that!”  Had we not been full from the delicious entrees we were eating, I would have placed an order to go!
