Each year, my children anxiously await partaking in fun Christmas activities: decorating the Christmas tree, baking cookies, coming home to hot cocoa on a cold day and attending Christmas at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas!
The last few years, we have kicked off the Christmas season with a staycation at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas — making memories, celebrating the reason for the season and having lots of fun while doing so.
Even though 2020 was filled with Covid restrictions, there is still fun to be had at the Hilton Anatole, even during a pandemic! Christmas at the Anatole might look a little different, but it’s still a great holiday experience in the DFW area.
Christmas At The Anatole Activities
Your children can write a letter to Santa and mail the directly to the North Pole in the mailbox at the Elf’s desk! If you have your letter in the box by 8pm, Santa just might read the letter during breakfast the next morning! (That’s one way to make sure your letter was received!)
After you write your letter, make sure you head downstairs for bingo, arts and crafts and a fun scavenger hunt through the resort.
The North Pole Cafe’ sells cute s’mores kits for use around one of the fire pits in the garden outside. This was great for my teens and little guys!
Once you’ve had your fun and are ready for bed, take your pajamas and a blanket downstairs to the ballroom for holiday movie night! (Pillows and blankets are available in the ballroom, if you forget yours!) Snacks, drinks and glow toys are available for purchase at the cafe’, and popcorn is complimentary!
There’s nothing better than breakfast with Mr. and Mrs. Claus! A delicious spread of eggs, bacon, pancakes and fruit are brought to your table (served family style) and an omlet bar is nearby. We loved listening to Santa read a story (and our letters!) while we ate, and the atmosphere is fun and relaxed! It’s perfect for young children, with bubbles, coloring sheets and balloons around the room.

Was it safe and socially distanced?
As for this and any event you choose attend, attendance, social distancing and mask wearing is the responsibility of the customer. I’d hate to say “everyone wore a mask” because that might not be true when you walk through the door. I can say masks are required in the hotel for anyone over the age of 2, unless you are eating or drinking. I did love to see that our room was sealed with a sticker, notifying us that it was sanitized and ready for our stay. I also loved the abundance of hand sanitizer stations.
Hilton has implemented a CleanStay program that was a great response to COVID-19. This innovative program builds upon the hotel’s already rigorous cleaning standards by providing enhanced training for Team Members, increased cleaning of public areas and adjusted food & beverage service.
