rum punch recipe

I was recently invited to a holiday party where I was asked to bring my beverage of choice.  I thought and thought, then remembered one of my favorite combination of holiday flavors:  Imagine cranberries, oranges and coconut rum… yeah, I went there.

This drink recipe makes 20 servings, but plan to make more than you need because you can bet guests will each have more than one drink.  It’s that good!

Cranberry Rum Punch

1 quart cranberry juice
16 oz pineapple juice
1.5 cups orange juice
2 cups rum (I like to use Blue Chair Bay Coconut Rum!)
2 quarts chilled ginger ale
Sugar crystals for the rim (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a large punch bowl or pitcher.  Set in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes.  (Or you can add ice to each glass as it’s poured.)

Garnish with an orange wheel or cranberries and enjoy!  Serves 20.
