If you are looking for a Dallas area staycation for the family, I highly recommend looking into The Westin Dallas Stonebriar.
The Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa is located in Frisco, Texas. There, you will find spacious rooms, comfortable beds, a large pool area, outdoor games, and a spa, to name a few of the many amenities. It is the perfect location for business, family fun, and/or relaxation.
Warm Welcome
Upon our entrance, we were welcomed to “Tee Off” with an Arnold Palmer. This station included tea, lemonade and an assortment of add-in flavors, along with a snack. It was a popular station on a warm summer evening, especially with my children!
The lobby is very inviting with beautiful decorations and the smell of coffee brewing from the indoor Starbucks.
Accommodations
The guest rooms are clean and spacious. Our room had a beautiful view of the golf course, which provided an amazing view at sunset. (You can also choose a courtyard view.) Bed choices include king or queen-size beds.
Family Fun
The Westin Stonebriar has fun for all ages, both indoors and outdoors.
If you’re looking for indoor fun, make sure you look into the Topgolf Swing Suite. This is a private area offering a selection of interactive virtual games from golf and football to soccer and baseball!
The Topgolf Swing Suite was definitely a highlight of this staycation! I appreciated the fact that we had a room host and could order food and beverages right to the room. Guests do not have to have a hotel reservation to book the Topgolf Swing Suite. The fee is $25/hr Mon-Wed, $50/hr Thurs-Sun.
If you’re looking for outdoor fun, the outdoor swimming pool is where you want to be!
The 200-foot lagoon-style pool offers a water slide, a whirlpool, private cabanas and a splash pad! It was a great way to refresh on a hot summer day! (Towels are provided at the pool.)
The water slide and splash pad were very popular among my children.
Make sure you visit the splash pad at night, too. It’s so pretty, and according to my youngest, “super cool!”
Ranch Water is the poolside bar, serving food, desserts and adult beverages. An ice cream treat was the perfect compliment to the day.
On a hot summer day, you might consider renting a private cabana. The cabana had comfortable sofas, a tv and a welcome ice bucket filled with snacks and bottled water.
Outside, you’ll also find an activity lawn with life-size Jenga, checkers, cornhole and more. You’ll find lots of seating, plenty of fire pits and TVs to enjoy the latest news or game.
Relaxation
The Well & Being Spa is located inside the resort. There, you’ll find many services including facials, massages and body treatments.
We enjoyed our services, and know why the spa books up! Make sure you make reservations in advance. (You can view the services offered here.)
Fitness
The fitness center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The center features TRX equipment, free weights, cardiovascular equipment, weight machines, strength Equipment, and rowing machines. I appreciated the fact that a refrigerator of bottled water was inside the fitness center, and complimentary for guests.
We are definitely looking forward to another stay at The Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa next summer. The resort is located at 1549 Legacy Drive in Frisco, TX, just 19 miles from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and 16 miles from Dallas Love Field.
