If you ask me what my favorite drink is, I’m quick to say Dr Pepper. In fact, we drink Dr Pepper so much, we recently hosted a party to celebrate football season, where we asked each guest to make something containing Dr Pepper.
We had a guest who arrived with Dr Pepper Glazed Chicken Wings and another guest who made Dr Pepper Ice Cream Floats. The variety was just as amazing as my super easy Dr Pepper Cupcakes were! (See recipe below)
Our party was so much fun, and I will definitely be incorporating Dr Pepper into a few more recipes of my own! A themed party is a great idea and the perfect way to celebrate football season!
I loved how easy it was to make these cupcakes! You’ll literally need two ingredients: cake mix and Dr Pepper — no need for oil or eggs!
Easy Dr Pepper Cupcakes
1 box of chocolate cake mix
12 ounces of your favorite Dr Pepper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place cupcake liners in your cupcake pan (you will use about 24 liners.) Combine the cake mix and Dr Pepper in a large mixing bowl. Fill the cupcake liners ¾ full. Bake according to cake box directions, or until done. Let cool. Dust with powdered sugar or top with a chocolate ganache. You could even melt a tub of fudge frosting in the microwave for about 15 seconds and drizzle on top!
