Disclosure: I had dinner at Joe’s Crab Shack as part of a media preview. I was provided with drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts, which are all part of the new summer menu! All opinions are my own.
It’s summertime at Joe’s Crab Shack and the new summer items are ready to be served! And boy were they!
I had the pleasure to taste almost everything from the summer menu, and I probably could have eaten each dish in it’s entirety. Seriously.
Two new entrees you will see on the menu are served “Shack Style”, with a kick of Corona:
· Corona Beach Bake: Lobster, clams, sausage, shrimp, fresh corn and potatoes steamed with a Corona chile-lime bath
· Costal Wave Steampot: Dungeness crab, snow crab, sausage and shrimp with corn and potatoes, finished with a Corona chile-lime bath
The steampot smells so good that I couldn’t help but grab a picture of some fellow bloggers catching a whiff! We were definitely ready to get crackin’!
Other new dishes include the Southern Coastal Catch featuring grilled mahi-mahi, chile-lime shrimp and a made-from-scratch crab cake, and Sourhern Citrus Campechana, which is Joe’s version of the classic Mexican seafood cocktail with shrimp and crabmeat.
My favorite dish, if I had to choose, would be anything containing at least one coconut shrimp. I’ll take a steampot with one coconut shrimp, please!
Guests can also enjoy new Tiki Cocktails like the Sailor’s Mai Tai, the Hawaiian Margarita and the Run Barrel Long Island Tea. (Ok, these may have been my favorite, too!) The presentation is beautiful!
Are you ready for dessert? My friends and I were presented with delicious (and fun) desserts!
There are several desserts to choose from, including cobbler, Campfire S’mores, and a fun one for children:
This is a crab, made from rice krispies….that you can paint with strawberry, chocolate and caramel topping! How fun is that!? I think we will plan an afternoon dessert at Joe’s Crab Shack one day this summer just for these! (And maybe one coconut shrimp.)
If you are traveling this summer, you can find Joe’s Crab Shack in nearly every family tourist destination across the country. In some places, they are located right on the beach! In other cities, they bring the beach to you!

We’ve never been to Joe’s Crab Shack. Thanks for sharing information about your dinner. I think we will stop by next weekend.
Yum!!! I have a coconut shrimp addict in my family (my oldest son), and I have to admit – it is AWESOME! 🙂 I think we’ll be going back for afternoon desserts with my kiddos, too. They have an ice cream sandwich dessert that is similar to the rice krispies dessert. 🙂
