Last week, I packed my suitcase and headed for Los Angeles, CA for a trip I will never forget. There was no secret about my excitement of receiving an invitation to attend the Finding Dory world premiere, and finally, the day had come. Follow along as I try to recap the night for you:
On our way to the premiere, I kept thinking just how blessed I was to be one of 24 bloggers attending this event! I tried to soak in everything around me, from the sights to the sounds… when we found ourselves walking down the iconic Oscar stairs!
Our group then headed down to Hollywood Blvd, where the blue carpet was laid out for the guests attending the Finding Dory premiere. And when I say the blue carpet was laid out, I mean it was laid out! The majority of Hollywood Blvd. is shut down for the event – all day and all night! Crowds line the carpet and have gatherings on rooftops of nearby buildings to watch the action take place. Here’s an aerial view:
As with all things Disney, we all know they go all out and dress to impress (regardless of what color the carpet actually ends up being!) Disney surely leaves no detail unnoticed!
As we took our turn on the carpet, I was trying to take as many pictures as I could, while trying to soak in as many memories as possible! Walking down any red carpet (or a blue carpet in our case) is such an honor, especially when you pass right along celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Ed O’Neill, Albert Brooks and Mario Lopez, to name a few. It’s fun to see interviews along the carpet, and I’m pretty sure I’m in the background of an upcoming Ellen episode and am sure I just saw myself on tv, walking behind an interview on Entertainment Tonight!
Those few minutes are loud, fast and so exciting! There really is so much to see and appreciate when you are there!
After the premiere, we headed to the after party, which was indeed a great party! There was an offering of food, cocktails, activities for children and sea life fun. It was an upscale, yet family-friendly atmosphere with something new around each corner. Take a look at some of my pictures from the party:
