Summer is a great time to take a staycation! With an effort to beat indoor boredom and high hopes to forget about the heat, we took a road trip to Dallas to visit Reunion Tower and sleep at the Hyatt Regency Dallas Hotel. There are so many different hotels in Dallas, but we found there was so much to offer, within minutes of this particular room.
The Hyatt Regency Dallas Hotel is located right next door to Reunion Tower or the iconic ball. It offers services and amenities that you won’t find anywhere else, making it unique in it’s own way. The first thing we noticed after walking in? The courteous (and always smiling) staff. The first thing we noticed after check-in? The view! Take a look at these pictures, because I’m going to let the hotel speak for itself.
I mean, really? My 4 year old simply wanted to stare out of the window to absorb the beautiful sights! He enjoyed watching the people, cars, trains and airplanes as they passed by. This view was great during the day, but there was no way I was going to close the blinds at night! Have you seen the lights displays on the buildings in Dallas? We each wanted to soak in the night life just as well.
The view of the city wasn’t the only beautiful sight, though. Our room was, too! The rooms at the Hyatt have a modern, yet simple design, welcoming you to relax for the night or weekend.
We took a quick tour of the hotel, where we found Reunion Tower, Cloud 9 Restaurant, Starbucks coffee and the outdoor pool. The pool was tucked away, into it’s own area just a few stories up. I loved the fact that it’s secluded, and I couldn’t help but think “No one will find Mom when she escapes onto a lawn chair for the afternoon!”
But I didn’t escape, being we had reservations at Wolfgang Puck’s Five Sixty Restaurant, which is located right next door inside Reunion Tower. I appreciate the variety of dining options right there in the hotel, especially since no one had to drive to get from place to place – with an attraction located right there, too! And if the on-site options aren’t what you’re looking for, the Hyatt is conveniently located within minutes of Medieval Times, Hard Rock Cafe and so much more!
Disclosure: My family was provided with a complimentary stay at the Hyatt Regency Dallas in order to facilitate this review. All opinions are honest.
