This was our first time to visit the Gaylord Texan’s ICE!, so other than dressing warm, I didn’t really know what to expect!
After watching the video, we walked into the next room and were given heavy coats to put on. Yes, on top of the coats we already had on! I think I dressed my children in 4 layers of clothes, plus this blue coat. Then they had on gloves and hats! My children may have walked like penguins, but knowing they were warm was comforting – it was getting colder and colder as we walked closer to the entrance!
The ICE! exhibit was incredible and there are picture opportunities at almost every angle. Since you tour the attraction at your own pace, it’s okay to spend a few extra minutes just soaking everything in!
We made our way to a pit stop, where we jumped in line to go down the ice slides! This was a lot of fun (for both children and adults)!
On the way out, we stopped to take more pictures before taking a look at the final ice sculpture, which tells the story of Jesus’ birth. Amazing!
We had a great time, and will most likely make this an annual event!
Note: Hot chocolate, along with other tasty snacks, is available for purchase once you exit the exhibit. The gift shop also sells gloves, hats, scarves, etc.
