My oldest son will be turning 10 soon!  It seems like he was just born yesterday, with thoughts, opinions and ideas of his own.  One idea? To have a knight theme birthday party!

With my thinking cap on, I knew we’d take a few of his friends on a trip to Medieval Times, but I honestly had no idea where we’d find knight themed party supplies.  So I went online.  The first place I checked?  Oriental Trading.  I was also happy to see they offered a nice selection of themed supplies, including plates, napkins, activities and favors.

I was excited about the brightly colored Knight’s Kingdom plates, which really set the mood for the party!  These dessert plates come in packs of 8 and are definitely eye catching!  They are reasonably priced, with larger plates available as well.

I was also excited about the matching Mighty Kingdom pennant banner.  The banner was easy to hang and tied in components from the plates, napkins and party favors.

I have to say, this was my favorite part of the party, and I’m not just saying that because of the cupcakes.  (Okay, maybe I am!)  But really, the cupcakes were delicious and the castle made my cupcakes look as good as they tasted!  Cupcake displays make great centerpieces!knight theme partyBefore we left for a night at Medieval Times, each child made their own Jewel Sword and picked their favorite Medieval Rubber Duck – which both made great party favors!

I was happy with the products, selection and quality of all the decorations and supplies.  It was a great and memorable party (that went by too fast) and all the boys had a great time!  I’m not rushing things, but I can’t wait to plan Logan’s 11th birthday party next year!

Disclosure: I was provided with a selection of products from Oriental Trading for the party described.  All opinions are 100% mine.
