Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays… mainly because the turkey leftovers give us something to look forward to the next day! As I got older, leftover turkey salad sliders became another one of my family’s holiday traditions! On Thanksgiving day, we gave thanks for many blessings and filled our bellies until they were stuffed. On Friday, we ate leftovers for lunch, then wondered how to change things up for dinner, since my children nearly cried when I said turkey, again! I went into the kitchen and decided to transform the leftovers with a little help from Hellmann’s.
Hellmann’s Mayonnaise helps keep that “day-old” turkey moist and delicious, and it’s perfect for my easy Leftover Turkey Salad recipe! The mayonnaise helps bring flavors together to keep every bite satisfying, and this recipe can be made for an individual or a family, which makes me love it even more!
Turkey Salad Sliders
1/4 Cup real Hellmann’s Mayonnaise
1 – 2 Cups Leftover Turkey, diced
1 stalk of celery, chopped
1-2 boiled eggs — Click here to see how to make easy peel perfect boiled eggs!
Salt and Pepper to taste
Tablespoon of Cranberry Raisins, cut in half
In a medium bowl, mix the mayonnaise, turkey and celery.
I’ve even made a more detailed leftover turkey sandwich by laying out two slices of cranberry bread (toasted) and laying these ingredients on, in order:
- Hellmann’s Mayonnaise
- Goat Cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- light mustard
- leftover turkey, sliced thin
- Spring salad mix
- green apples, sliced thin
