Last week, I was invited to attend the Muppets Most Wanted premiere and walk the red carpet at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. It was a trip I will not soon forget!
As we walked to the premiere, I kept thinking how blessed I was to be here! Trying to soak the sights, sounds and experience in, we found ourselves traveling down the Oscar stairs, where we took a few pictures and hung out for a while. (How awesome is that? The Oscars were just held a few weeks ago!)
This fantastic group then headed to the red carpet, where we saw Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey, Ty Burrell, Miss Piggy, Kermit, Constantine, Josh Groban and so many more celebrities.
As we took our turn on the red carpet, I was trying to take as many pictures as I could, while members of the press were calling names, trying to take even more pictures! It’s somewhat loud and fast, and can easily turn into a blur! I knew I was standing right behind Tina Fey, but didn’t realize we’d be in many of her red carpet pictures! See a media picture on the left, and my picture on the right. (This might be the best photo bomb I’ve ever done!) Let’s just say I wanted to show you both sides of her beautiful dress!
We had just missed The Muppets drive down the red carpet, but we caught up to them partaking in interviews as we entered the El Capitan.
After the premiere, we headed to the after party, which was indeed a great party! There was an offering of food, cocktails, games and nail paintings from OPI. It was a fun, upscale, yet family-friendly atmosphere with activity stations for children in each corner. We took some pictures with the movie props, including the Interpol car and “Josh Groban’s box”. Take a look at pictures from the party:
