Summer is here! Whether your idea of summer fun includes swimming at the pool, relaxing at the beach or grilling on the back porch, there’s one thing that we all need… something refreshing to keep you cool!
Not only will this Watermelon Lemonade recipe keep you cool, it will also take you away, if only for a mere second. One sip and you’ll think you’re in another state (Hawaii, maybe?)
This drink is so easy to prepare and the combination is fantastic – children love it just as well! With no unnecessary ingredients, the fresh flavors will be something you can be proud to serve at your next gathering!
Watermelon Lemonade
Ingredients
2 cups seedless watermelon
1 cup sugar
4 cups water
1 cup lemon juice
…OR skip the sugar, water and lemon juice and opt for 5-6 cups of your favorite lemonade!
Instructions
- In a blender, puree the watermelon.
- Strain to remove any bits of seed/pulp that remain, if necessary. (I like the pulp!)
- If you are making lemonade, do that now or pour your already prepared lemonade into a large pitcher.
-
Add the puree and stir to combine.
-
Serve over ice and enjoy!
