A few weeks ago, I received an amazing invitation from Disney, Pixar and ABC, inviting me to San Francisco for the trip of a lifetime!  (Not that this trip to Los Angeles wasn’t the trip of a lifetime!  Or this one.)

Cars3Event San Francisco

From March 27-29, 2017, I will join 24 other amazing bloggers in San Francisco to celebrate the release of Disney/Pixar’s Cars 3, Disneynature’s Born in China, Disney Junior’s Puppy Dog Pals and the new ABC toy-competition series, The Toy Box!  Take a look at what’s in store:

Does that fill your need for speed? On our trip, we will visit Pixar Studios (yes, THE Pixar studios!), and watch some advance footage from Cars 3, plus we’ll get to screen the Pixar short film, Lou, that will run before Cars 3.  So exciting!

Our group will then attend a press day at the Sonoma Raceway for CARS 3, which includes exclusive interviews with Director Brian Fee, Producer Kevin Reher and various animators, before we get in a race car for a lap around the racetrack (EEEK!), learn how to quickly change out a tire at a pit stop and go on a tour of the speedway’s garage. That night, we will also screen the upcoming Disneynature film BORN IN CHINA, which opens in theaters on April 21.  I’m already holding onto my hat!

Born In China

On Wednesday, we will head back to Pixar to learn about Pixar in a Box, followed by a special screening of the series premiere episode of “The Toy Box,” the ultimate toy-competition series, which will provide talented designers with the chance of a lifetime: an opportunity to bring their toy concept to life with industry-giant Mattel and to the shelves of Toys ”R” Us the day after the series finale.

During this series, inventors present their toy concepts to a group of mentors that include Pixar Creative Director of Consumer Products Jen Tan, who we will hold an exclusive Q&A with, after the screening. The Toy Box is an eight-episode series, premiering on Friday, April 7th at 8/7c on ABC.

Puppy Dog Pals Disney Junior

Our event comes to an end after we join Disney Junior for a special screening of the upcoming animated series “Puppy Dog Pals,” which stars fun-loving pug puppy brothers Bingo and Rolly, whose thrill-seeking appetites take them on adventures in their neighborhood and around the globe. Whether helping their owner, Bob, or assisting a friend in need, the pugs’ motto is that life is more exciting with your best friend by your side. Premiering in April 2017, the series features two 11-minute stories that showcase Bingo and Rolly’s similarities and differences and demonstrate positive lessons about friendship, problem-solving, collaboration, creativity and adventure. Following the screening, Sean Coyle (executive producer) and Diane Ikemiyashiro (Disney Junior creative executive) will participate in a Q&A.

Lost and Found

There are so many other details, and I can’t wait to share them with you!  In the meantime, follow along on social media as I give you a glimpse before, during and after the trip!  Our hashtags will be #Cars3Event, #ABCTVEvent, #TheToyBox, and #PuppyDogPalsEvent.
