While we were in Disney World, there was one attraction in Disney’s Hollywood Studios that was fun, yet challenging: The Magic of Disney Animation Academy.
The Animation Academy welcomes groups of budding animators, walking them step by step through a 15 minute process of drawing a favorite Disney character. You are provided with Disney themed sketch paper and a pencil, on a background lit drawing space. You simply follow along with the artist, creating your own piece of artwork – which you can take home as a souvenir.
This attraction is open to everyone, there are no age requirements. My children loved drawing Stitch, and we could have gone back for a second round! (There is no set schedule of characters to be drawn, our character was chosen based on a survey of those present at that particular class.)

I can’t tell you HOW MANY of these sketches I have……we tend to let my husband go ride Tower of Terror and the girls hang out here at the animation academy. So fun!!!
