With a larger family, we aim for simple meals that cater to everyone’s appetite. Pizza fits that bill, so we opt for pizza often! Quick pizza is even better, so let me show you how to make pizza on the Blackstone!
Pizza on the Blackstone is ready in less than 15 minutes, and honestly, it will probably take you longer to decide on and prepare the ingredients than it will to cook the pizza!
Some of our favorite toppings are pepperoni, sausage, pineapple, jalapenos, bacon and black olives. Know that your choice of toppings might alter the cooking time, but not by much. (If you opt for chicken, I’d probably grill the chicken before putting it on top of the pizza, just to make sure it has cooked thoroughly.) We usually set out bowls of toppings and let everyone make their own pizza before putting it on the grill.
How To Make Pizza On The Blackstone
Ingredients
- Naan Bread
- Pizza Sauce (you can also use spaghetti sauce – it’s basically the same thing!)
- Toppings. Today, we used pepperoni and pre-cooked Italian sausage
- Mozzarella Cheese
Lay the Naan bread onto the Blackstone grill surface. Make sure your griddle is off!
Spread the pizza sauce onto the Naan bread.
Sprinkle with cheese and your favorite pizza toppings.
Now, set the Blackstone temperature to 375 degrees. You need to keep the temperature low to prevent the bottoms from burning.
Pull the Blackstone cover down and let the flatbreads pizzas grill for about 5-8 minutes depending on how fast your griddle heats up.
Check if the cheese has melted. If so, you can then remove the flatbread pizza from the griddle. If not, you need to cover and grill for a few more minutes, watching it carefully to make sure you don’t burn the cheese and Naan bread.
Slice and enjoy.
