Each time a newly released Disney movie comes out, we like to them a dessert or snack around the movie. Since the long-awaited Lightyear film will be in theaters this month, we thought this would be a good time to share this Lightyear inspired green punch recipe.
This green punch recipe is perfect for celebrating the Lightyear film, but it also goes well with other Buzz Lightyear party ideas (and everyday consumption!) The Lightyear-inspired mocktail uses just a few ingredients, all of which you can easily find at your local grocery store:
Green Punch Ingredients:
Green Hawaiian Punch
Sprite or Sierra Mist
can of pineapple juice
fresh limes
orange or pineapple sherbert (optional)
garnish (optional)
Directions:
(I like to serve this from a gallon drink dispenser, but you can serve it right from a pitcher.) Start by pouring 1/2 of the Hawaiian Punch and 1/2 of the Sprite into your desired container, and stir to combine. Add the pineapple juice and stir again. (If you want a nice foam top on the drink, add some scoops of orange or pineapple sherbert!)
Then, you want to juice 1/2 of a fresh lime and add that liquid to the drink mix. Since the other 1/2 of the lime into thin slices and add those to the drink mixture or place them at the bottom of individual glasses. (*If you are using pineapple from a can, you can dump the pineapple juice into the green punch mixture and stir.)
Lastly, you want to put ice in each glass and pour the green punch over the top. You can use the pineapple chunks for a side-of-glass garnish before serving or you can add fun -and space-looking flowers- as a garnish.
This green punch recipe is quick and easy, and if you need to refill the beverage during your Lightyear party, it can be done quickly since there aren’t many ingredients!

What a fun idea!
I believe it’s quick and easy, I just find sometimes kids do not like the taste of lime that much…; any idea for replacement? (Or one can just leave out, I believe)
Thanks!
