Ingredients:
Package of Nutter Butter cookies
Container of mini candy eyes
Orange M&M’s
Royal Icing, recipe found below (or use decorator icing from the store, in appropriate colors)

Royal Icing Ingredients:
2 egg whites
1 C powder sugar
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
red & orange gel food coloring

Icing Directions:
-Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl mixing on medium speed for 4 minutes. (except your food coloring)
-If icing is not stiff enough, add 1/4 cup powder sugar.
-Divide the icing into three separate bowls.
– In the first bowl, add several drops of orange gel food coloring.  Stir to blend.
-In the second bowl, add drops of red gel food coloring, mixing well to incorporate the color.
-The third bowl of icing remains white.
-Pour each color of icing into individual frosting bags with a #5 tip. Twist the open end of the bag to push the icing to the tip.

Nutter Turkey Assembly Directions:

-Lay out several Nutter Butter cookies.  I like to do this on wax paper, aluminum foil or a baking sheet.
-Separate the orange M&M’s on a plate.
-After referring to the picture above, decide where you want to place the eyes, make a small dot on the cookie with white icing and place the candy eyes over the dots. Allow a few seconds for the eyes to dry.  (Step 1)
-Apply a small dot of orange icing in the area for the nose, hold the orange M&M to the orange icing for a 30 seconds until it “glues” onto it.  (Step 2)
-With the frosting bag of red icing draw a “waddle” on the side of the turkey’s face coming from the side of the orange nose.
-Allow the icing to completely dry for about an hour or until the waddle is dry.
