I like to take the weekends easy. It’s my time to relax, spend time with my family and watch a few games on tv. I surely don’t want to spend a game day stressing in the kitchen, so I look for easy ways to get dinner on the table in just a few minutes; whether that means leftovers, freezer meals or hitting up the hot deli counter at Walmart.
When I went to Walmart for our game day supplies, I noticed crispy boneless wings right at the deli counter! The wings were are only $10 for a bucket of 20, and I knew it would pair perfectly with some fun (and delicious) hot wing dips! The boneless wings are a fresh, fast, and convenient food option for football tailgating this season.
I picked up a bucket of the boneless wings, and was excited to hear I could order them in the flavor combinations of my choice. We went with BBQ and General Tso, but there are several other flavors available.
I loved how the wings were ready when I was, and when I got home, all I had to do was make a few dips and plate them. The first dip I made was a quick Remoulade, followed by a Sweet Plum Dipping Sauce and an Oriental Sauce.
Remoulade Wing Dip
- 1 1/4 cups mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup mustard
- 1 Tbsp sweet paprika
- 1 – 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 large clove garlic, minced and smashed
Mix all ingredients well and serve.
Sweet Plum Dipping Sauce
- 1 cup of plum jam
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons of ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons of white vinegar
- 1 – 2 tablespoons of Asian Chili Garlic sauce
Combine all the above ingredients and cook in a small pan on medium heat until the sauce is boiling. Remove from heat and serve. This will thicken as it sits and can be refrigerated after it cools.
Oriental Dipping Sauce
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 – 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon sesame oil
Mix all ingredients well and serve.
Each dip compliments the boneless wings well, depending on which flavor you’re going for. You can even make the dips the night before game day, and everything can relax in the fridge and the ingredients can get happy together.

These are great dipping sauces and I love the wings from Walmart. I’ve never tried the General Tso’s wings, but I think I need to pick some up for the games this weekend! [client]
